Schock-Tod von Thorsten Hamer: Hinweise auf Mord – Kripo startet Ermittlungen!
TV star Thorsten Hamer (1982-2026) has died at just 43 years old. The actor played chef Matthias “Matti” Steininger in two seasons of the Sat.1 series “Die Landarztpraxis”. In an Instagram post, Sat.1 expressed deep sorrow: Hamer died “far too early”, it states. “Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Thorsten.”
According to a death notice in the “Solinger Tagesblatt”, Hamer died on February 8. “We carry you in our hearts and miss you until we meet again”, his family wrote in farewell.
Chef Matti in the “Landarztpraxis”
Thorsten Hamer took on his most famous role as chef Matti in the second and third seasons of “Die Landarztpraxis”. He cooked for over 151 episodes at the “Alte Post” inn and was also integrated into the storylines as Sabrina’s brother and as Bianca’s one-night stand. Hamer portrayed his character with great dedication. As he revealed in an interview with “Joyn”, he completed a cooking course in preparation. He also maintained contact with his colleagues in his private life: “We do things together from time to time”, he explained.
In addition, Hamer was active as a theater actor. He also became known for his imitation of comedian Heinz Erhardt (1909-1979). Furthermore, he appeared in the ZDF crime series “Notruf Hafenkante” and “SOKO Wismar”, among others. He took on his last role in the film “Block 10”, a drama about the inhumane experiments in the Auschwitz concentration camp.
