For decades, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has held it over the heads of her sister-in-law Tracy (Jane Elliot) and other family members that it is her house they live in. “It’s my house, Alan gave it to me,” she told them. He signed the family mansion over to his new wife in 1977 after their first marriage.

She hasn’t let anyone in the family forget it. But it’s no longer her house. Jason (Steve Burton) found Monica dead in her bedroom. The sad loss on-screen comes months after Leslie Charleson’s real-life passing.

General Hospital Fans Weigh In On Who Gets Monica’s House

General Hospital viewers better stock up on tissues as the Quartermaine family mourns Monica and the show honors Leslie Charleson. Several family members and their kids live in the Quartermaine mansion, including Tracy, Jason, and Michael.

Jason had a strained relationship with his mother, Monica, for years before she finally accepted that he wasn’t getting his memory back. Once that happened, they remained close until her death.

In one heartbreaking scene, Jason told Tracy that he was sorry he couldn’t remember his childhood with Monica. Tracy replied that if he had questions to ask her, because Monica told her everything.

Drew had a falling out with the Quartermaines months ago. They were shocked to find out about his affair with Michael’s wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen.) He’s been on the outs with most of Port Charles recently. One angry resident of the town even shot Drew. He’s in the hospital recovering.

But not even a gunshot wound could stop Drew’s scheming. In a clip shared on social media, the character tells his lawyer, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight,) that the Quartermaines won’t cut him out of Monica’s will like they cut him out of the family.

Fans think that means Drew makes a play for Monica’s house, but he has some help.

Unexpected Person Gets Quartermaine Mansion?

General Hospital announced months ago that legendary daytime actress Erika Slezak was joining the show. She was recently spotted filming at the soap’s studio in Los Angeles, California. It’s still a mystery who she plays, but viewers are about to find out.

A preview for the upcoming storyline about Monica’s death showed Tracy walking in on Erika Slezak’s character in the Quartermaster family crypt. It’s been widely speculated that the One Life To Live alum will play Monica’s never-before-seen sister.
