Look, we know that viewers have some strong feelings about General Hospital’s Friday ending, with Britt taking Rocco on the run with her. The moral implications of taking a minor who’s not even family on the run aside, the whole thing has echoes of Britt’s attempt to flee town with Jason. And if we’re being honest, we expect this attempt to go just as well as the last one!

And that likely means that one way or another, Britt and Rocco are going to need a rescue. Luckily, we know just the man for the job: Jason! Steve Burton confirmed that he’d be back in June and, while he didn’t share an exact date, that’s just a week away!

Think about it: Jason was hauled off in dramatic fashion, and we seriously doubt they’d bring him back any other way. Imagine waiting until the bad guys were exposed, Faison’s final project ended and Jason’s name officially cleared to bring him home?

The action would be all over, everything would be right, and Jason would just pop back up in Port Charles. “Hello! They let me go. How is everyone doing?” Absolutely not!

No, instead, we could see him breaking out of the WSB facility he’s held at and making his way back to Port Charles to put an end to the bad guys. And in the process, he’d find out that Britt and Rocco had disappeared and go searching for them. After all, as we said, he already had a plan in place with Britt before, so he’d likely have a better idea of where and how to follow their trail this time.

The time wasn’t right for Jason to break out until now. Cullum knows he didn’t shoot him — and so do the rest of the villains. Actually, at this point, just about everyone knows except for the WSB! Jason breaking out of custody and making his way back to play hero could be just what’s needed to get this Faison project storyline to the finish line.

And once that happens, Cullum’s grip on the WSB would disappear, the truth of Jason’s innocence would be out there, and no one would haul him back to whatever hole they dumped him in.
